Yesterday I got the bill for the overnight hospital stay I had last July 3 to get new neurotransmitters.    It was around  $70,000!!!! - approaching cost of the original DBS brain surgeries.  There was almost a $300 charge for "pharmacy" and I had NO medication except my blood pressure pill I snuck in!!!  Shocking!!  The "bill" said I didn't have to pay as Medicare would.  The school district I taught for also provides me with a secondary insurance.  What a mess this country is in!!
