yes don, you do have a right to your opinion.  however, saying "...I am 
compelled to refute a misguided opinion ..." and "While I respect the nice 
lady's right to her opinion, I also feel I have a right to refute it with a 
modicum of common sense." does not simply state your opinion, it denounces the 
original writer as misguided and having no common sense.  next time, please 
just state what you think without trashing  the opinion you disagree with.
