Re: Supporting stem cell research
Dear Listserv Members,
Last August Intel chief Andy Grove donated $5 million to University of
California San Francisco to support embryonic stem cell research. It
recently came to my attention that he will match any private donations
earmarked for the Stem Cell Discovery Fund. UCSF says that challenge cash
will be used to recruit new stem cell specialists and give grants to current
faculty members to encourage them to study stem cells. I have made a
donation because I feel this is an excellent opportunity to have my dollars
work double for a cause I deeply believe in. Listserv members who wish to
find out more about the matching funds and how to contribute can contact:
