Theresa,

I see no evidence that Ray or I or the managers of this list have
exercised any special control on the type of postings that make it to
the list.  I have seen plenty of arguments on both sides of many
issues.  What are you talking about?

There is no hatred felt or intended by me.  I wish to support all of
you, and as I have lobbied in favor of ESCR with my elected officials,
and as I have bashed Bush for opposing ESCR, I have felt that I was
doing that.

Will you please let me know, on-list or off, of anything I have said
that attacks anyone on this list?  I really do try not to offend.
There seems to be a lot to talk about, if the things I've said set you
off so.

I would also like to know of anyone who feels they have been censored
lately, and I will personally take up your case with the list
managers, no matter what your political bent is.

And yes, politics is a very important part of the search for a cure.
Just ask MJ Fox and the others who have gone before congress.  Please
explain to me why you want to disallow discussion of the political
aspects of PD research and the quest for funding.

Dissent and debate are a part of American life.  But if this isn't the
right forum to discuss these issues that are common to us, if most of
the users here would rather stick to the straight, care and medical
issues for PWP, that's cool with me.  There's plenty of room on the
WWW for a "Politics of Parkinson's" forum.  Responses that I've
received, both on the list and off, are, like the vote in the last two
elections, almost evenly split on the issue, but unlike the elections,
the slight edge so far goes to free speech.

I reiterate that that freedom also applies to what you read.  If my
posts make you go ballistic, don't open them.
