I know in the hospital they insisted that they knew  just how to do an  ekg.
They
sent for the night nurse and the thing that she did (turned them off with  my
magnet and did the ekg then turned then back on. I was having debridement  of
my stimulators (3rd surgery)  and wanted to leave them on as long as
possible.
but two weeks after they had to remove my stimulators and I had to  have
them xeroed out the time beore I had them removed. (I had  both sides  done.)
