my ocular migraines stopped after DBS although I did have a non-conventional
one right after the surgery. I used to have the aura and the headache. My
brother has only gotten the aura.

To Katie Lacewell,
Sounds like what your husband has is a variant of migraine with aura. He
is
describing his aura. A migraine with visual symptoms but no headache is
called an acephalgic migraine or painless migraine. He should be
examined by his
neurologist or neuro-ophthalmologist and asked about timing, location, is
it
always on the same side, does it last between 5 minutes and an hour, does
he
have a history of headaches when he was younger, family history, etc. If
he
hasn't had an MRI he may deserve one now depending on his answers. A
daily
aspirin might decrease their frequency.
