Alison and List Members:

I'm sorry, how thoughtless of me - I don't have dyskinesia because I don't
take PD meds and my DBSs stopped my tremors.

Don't know what I would have done if I had either of these 2 conditions
when I had cataract surgeries. I got turned OFF during recent crown dental
procedure but the shaking wasn't that bad yet.

And I get impatient with folks who don't "understand" - I should know
better.

As Sidney and others have pointed out, the cataract surgery today is really
slick and quick, so you have that going for you.
Best of luck, Ray

It's been awhile since I had my cataract surgery. If evferything since than
has been as simple it would be great.I did not have dyskinesia than and
that no doubt would have made a difference.

My DR. was great and explained everything and answered any questions I
had.During the operationm he told me exatly what he was doing and
I got fascinated. The time flew and my fears as well.

When I had the other eye done I could follow the procedure.

I guess it's like anyrtthing of this type unsettlinly.Anything coming
near my near my eyes
has always concerned me as I had sties as a child.

 Good luck!!!

 Dear List Members and Ray,

I seem to recall Ray writing something about cataract surgery. If so,
would
you have any suggestions that I might pass on to my sister, Fran. She has
Parkinson's; diagnosed in 1998 at age 44. She needs to have cataract
surgery
on both eyes and the doctor has told her she is almost legally blind in
one
eye.

Our cousin is a retina surgeon here in Florida and he has given us the
names
of 2 doctors that he respects as being competent in their field. However,
with the Parkinson's, if anyone has any suggestions regarding the
procedure
and aftercare, we'd appreciate hearing from you.
