It is great to see others coming forward and letting us know of their work. I have also noticed new names. We are also making another awareness quilt that will feature t-shirts from different PD events. We are asking for one t-shirt to use as a square. If you would like to participate and do not have a t-shirt, you can go to any fabric shop or walmart and buy printable quilt squares and design your own. PDF PDCREATIVITY will follow the making of the quilt. Please email me for more information. I do need to correct one thing. I recieved this from Sharon Stone and she asked that I pass it along to others. Good morning everyone! Iâve just returned from an exciting meeting regarding exercise and PD and opened up my email to read a bit of your recent exchange about the PDCreativity website. I must inform you, as a matter of correction, that the correct URL for this website is _www.PDCreativity.org_ (http://www.pdcreativity.org/) and it is supported by the Parkinsonâs Disease Foundation (PDF). Focusing on the therapeutic value creativity and complimentary mental and physical activities such as exercise, dance, music, art, and crafts has on Parkinsonâs and oneâs Quality of Life, this website offers a visual representation and inspiration to others to explore art and movement themselves. The website houses an art gallery for display of artwork of all kinds (painting, sculpting, music, origami, dance, crafts and everything in between!) created by people with Parkinsonâs. As well, the website is a true resource center for people living with PD: when you click on the tab âInformation Exchange â you can find listings of art therapy classes, exercise, Tai Chi, Pilates, music therapy, dance therapy and other classes available for people to participate in. They are listed by location so if you are taking or participating in a class that is not on the list please let us know so we may post it and others may find out about it! The site also lists events, fundraisers, get-togethers and other happenings going on in the Parkinson community. The site is fueled by the Parkinson community, for the Parkinson community. We rely on information we receive from you and welcome any addition you may wish others to know about. I invite you to check out the website and let us know if we are missing something you would like to see there! For now, Iâm thrilled that the siteâs popularity and usefulness is growing. It is not just a national website; we have listings from all over the world. Please do let us know if you have artwork you would like to share, happenings you want others to know about, classes you are participating in or even send us your suggestions on how we may make the site more useful! Thank you all and enjoy _www.PDCreativity.org_ (http://www.pdcreativity.org/) !
