What do you bet the NIH won't change anything? I fear we must keep fighting for research conducted and determined by scientists. It has taken awhile for this to sink in. For too long I assumed we were living in the 21st century. I don't think we could have gotten a polio vaccine in this environment today. Vaccines were developed using fetal tissue.
Thank you for being there in this struggle.

Thanks to all who responded to the call for comments on the NIH guidelines. I hope we can count on you again when legislation is before the congress.
Although I would like to think the NIH will not change proposed guidelines for extra IVF embryos, I was stunned when it finally sunk in that opponents of ESCR are opposing ALL embryonic stem cell research, including those embryos destined for the dumpster.
A renewed effort is taking place on the state level to ban ESCR. ESCR has been banned in Arizona for a long time, as in Ala, Miss and LA. There are mixed results in GA, OK, TX, Montana and the Dakotas.
Not in my lifetime, but for future generations science may prevail. If we are complacent it might not happen.
Amanda, you are at number 27.
Please let me know if you have sent in comments but are not on this List or if I have made mistakes.
