Nicotine patch

I've seen little shreds of info about research in treating PD with
nicotine. I've read that it may have some neuro-protective quality,
and elsewhere that people have had reduced symptoms when using the
patch.

It would be fine with me if it was recommended that PD sufferers use
the patch. I'm already quite addicted to nicotine, but it may put me
over the hump regarding my reluctance/inability to quit smoking.

Is there a definitive word on nicotine? Any info or links would be
appreciated.

Enjoy!
